Kensington has a charming small town feel yet within easy access of Washington DC. The town is know for Antique Row on Howard Ave, boutiques and unique restaurants. The old historic train station, which is still in operation, is home to plenty of weekly farmers markets and the occasional concert. Kensington is also home to the Day of the Book Festival each April. Residents who enjoy the outdoors have terrific access to the beautiful Rock Creek Regional Park for hiking, biking, playgrounds and picnic sites.
